Before emailing us, though, here are some answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Q: Do you take reservations?
A: Yes, we take reservations at least 24 ahead of time for groups of 8 or more. If you have a smaller party, you are welcome to send a member of your party in ahead of time to check in with the host stand then grab a beer while you wait (if there is a wait). That's not a bad deal for the person who has to wait!
Q: When will you have _____ on tap?
A: We strive to have all of our beers listed on our tap list on the website. We also post major beer releases on our Facebook, Twitter and instagram accounts (both are @hopcatd).
Q: Are you hiring?
A: We are usually looking for excellent people to join our HopCat family. If you think you've got the chops, visit BarFlyJobs.com and let us know!
Q: Do you have gluten-free beers and food?
A: Yes. We have a selection of gluten-free beers in bottles as well as some ciders on tap that are naturally gluten free. We also have wine and cocktails. Since we don't have a segregated kitchen, we don't have a true gluten-free food menu. We have some items that are gluten sensitive and we can adjust many of our regular items to make them without bread or other items containing gluten.
Q: Do you sell gift cards/T-shirts and other HopCat stuff?
A: Yes, we do. We sell gift cards in store and online (click the link in the lower right corner of this site). Each store has a unique merchandise selection which we do not currently sell online.
Q: Can I fill a growler?
A: Yes. Michigan law allows us to fill your clean growlers (and sell clean empty ones). Some limited release selections are not available in growlers. Ask your server or bartender for details.
Q: Will you donate to our charity/auction/fundraiser?
A: Maybe. Email all requests for charitable donations to charity@hopcat.com. We assess these requests on a case-by-case basis.
