October is Guest Appreciation Month

October 2018 is Guest Appreciation Month at HopCat - our way of saying thank you for being the best customers on Earth (in our humble opinion). We’ll be offering special discounts to any new or existing member of our CatPack Rewards Program. Joining is easy. All you need to do is text the word “catpack” followed by your email address to the number 73757, and we’ll get you hooked up. And here’s what you’ll get this month: 

EVERY TUESDAY IN OCTOBER: $3 for any draft beer, house wine or well drink.

Oct. 1st-4th: Members get a Classic or Bar Zee burger, or any two-topping or specialty Detroit-style pizza (where available) for just $5.

Oct. 8th-11th: Members get HALF OFF a basket of our jumbo chicken wings.

Oct. 15th-18th: Members get HALF OFF any variety of our Killer Mac & Cheese entrées.

Oct. 22nd-25th: Members get HALF OFF any Shareable appetizer or Crack Fries order.

HC Chicago wins the Crack Fries title

The HopCat Crack Fries Eating Contest World Championship has a new home: Chicago!

Congratulations to Pat, who took first place on July 28th at the Michigan Brewers Guild's Summer Beer Festival in Ypsilanti. We gathered the winners from each location's Crack Fries Eating Contest for a battle royale. At stake: $2,000 and free Crack Fries for a year to the person who can eat the most in 6 minutes. Pat scarfed down 4.5 pounds, edging out the defending champion from Ann Arbor. You can watch a video replay of his glorious achievement via Facebook. The Crack Fries Championship trophy will remain in our Chicago restaurant until at least next year, Stanley Cup-style!

We're serious about our role as conscientious business owners, constantly looking for ways we can be better stewards of our environment. We recycle or compost most of our waste, reducing the amount of trash going to landfills and incinerators by 90 percent. We also strive to source food and products from companies with similar commitments.

Every HopCat is designed to look and feel unique, with custom-commissioned artwork and a special vibe -- if you've been to one, you haven't been to them all. Our beer lists reflect the same philosophy -- selected by a local beer manager whose job includes working with local brewers and distributors to showcase the best of what's around -- from mainstays and seasonals, to rareities, one-offs and exclusives.

HopCat was envisioned, designed, stocked, and staffed with one mission in mind: To bring you great beer. What is great beer? It's a beer made with care and pride. It might be a local beer or one from across the globe. It could be your usual pint, or a beer that you had no idea existed. Every once in a while, it's a beer you never would have ordered but for the fact that your server or bartender suggested it.
